Our Festive Favourites
The festive season is fast approaching and our calendars filling up but it’s not too late to plan that family get together. Gather all your aunts, uncles, cousins and grandchildren and let us cook up a storm to take away the stress of satisfying all those stomachs. But what are our customers festive favourites? Read on to discover our top 5 winter winners.
Cheese and Carbs
What better combination than gooey, melted cheese and crispy bread? Pop a wheel of camembert in the oven until suitably melted and serve with crispy bread, bacon breadsticks are a firm favourite too and let everyone dig in.
Meaty Main Course
Nothing screams hearty festive food than a pie. Pork and Ham is by far the most popular among our customers! A great way to serve for a party is to construct your pie in a terrine dish, lining your dish with pastry then packing in your meat and closing up your pasty on top. Serving is then fuss free with portions sliced as if it were bread!
Swap the Christmas cake for chocolate and you’ll be onto a winner-especially where younger ones are involved! Opt for a chocolate yule log or gooey fudge brownies to send your guests into that satisfied food coma that becomes over-familiar during the festive season.
Shake up a Spice 75 for the taste of Christmas in a glass. We can’t give away out own secret recipe but think rum, champagne, lime juice and allspice! You’ll have your guests in the Christmas spirit in no time.
Spiced Mulled Wine
Add a dash of Sloe Gin to a good quality red wine to add a twist to a traditional festive favourite. Add the spice by serving with cinnamon sticks, star anise and cloves. This recipe is always a hit as the night winds down!Posted on: November 16, 2018, by : fairhursts
